Wall Street clawed back the last of the historic, frenzied losses unleashed by the new coronavirus, as the S&P 500 closed at an all-time high Tuesday. The day’s move was a relatively mild one, nudging the index up 7.79 points, or 0.2%, to 3,389.78. That eclipses the S&P 500′s previous record closing high of 3,386.15, which was set Feb. 19, before the pandemic shut down businesses around the world and knocked economies into their worst recessions in decades. The S&P 500′s milestone caps a furious, 51.5% rally that began in late March.

The Grampa Simpson “old man yells at cloud” meme is funny, to be sure. But leave it to black folks to go it one better by screaming at a lake. Last month, “Afro-Latinx” singer-actress Naya Rivera drowned while swimming in Lake Piru in Ventura County, Calif. Rivera had grown up in the area; the lake was not unfamiliar to her. It was an accident, and nothing more. Still, a black life was “taken,” so a petition was created to “cancel” Lake Piru. “Lake Piru needs to go down. Now and forever. It’s taken too many lives,” brayed signatory Erin Jordan. “Naya Rivera and others deserve f***ing justice. Nobody deserves to f***ing drown

I don’t know if you’ve been watching the Democratic National Convention.(Snip)On Monday night, during the virtual convention, they even broke out former First Lady, Michelle Obama, to pitch on his behalf. While most of the other speakers had been boring, I will grant you she wasn’t boring. What she was was insufferable, not to mention deceitful, trying to pitch that she was “going high.” She’s very much like her husband. It sounds nice, but then when you start looking at it, you see all the issues. She started off insulting the American voters who elected Donald Trump, implying that he only won because some people didn’t think their votes mattered.

Barack Obama is very careful about some things. He makes sure his political allies know that his legacy has to be protected.(Snip)So, when a POLITICO Magazine piece comes along and attacks his Vice President, Joe Biden, as incompetent and a joke, and the quotes are all coming from former Obama staff and aides, you know that this is deliberate. There is a reason this piece and these attacks see the light of day: Because Obama wants them to. (Snip) it becomes clear that Obama wasn’t so much a fan of Biden as he needed someone who would be both an experienced Washington veteran and a sycophant.

Former Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich crossed party lines Monday night to speak out in support of presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden at this year’s virtual Democratic National Convention (DNC).During his brief online testimony standing at a literal fork in the road in his hometown Columbus suburb of Westerville, which also held the fourth round of Democratic debates, Kasich’s appearance was meant to suggest broad bipartisan support even coming from a NeverTrumper who never had and never was going to support Trump in the first place.(Snip) “He’s reasonable, faithful, respectful, and you know, no one pushes Joe around.”

California’s Blackouts Display The Results

It’s hot out West and California’s electricity grid is under tremendous strain. The state’s first intentional rolling blackouts since its 2001 energy crisis hit on Friday. (Snip)Biden’s past energy policies were fairly standard fare for old-school Democrats: massive government spending and regulations to pick winners and losers—the $535 million Solyndra collapse is illustrative. His current plan is more of the same, spending $2 trillion, some of which will go to buy the silent acceptance of Big Oil. By comparison, Harris’ policies are a radical departure, and (Snip) fail when confronted with the real world. Harris partnered with New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the multi-trillion-dollar Green New Deal,

Each week in the inexorable march to Election Day, it becomes more challenging to believe how the campaign is unfolding and to rationalize it as a serious process for choosing the leader of the world’s greatest nation. (Snip) It is surely the last round in the great battle between Donald Trump and the national political media. Trump’s ostensible opponents, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, are a spavined political wheel-horse who came in fifth in the New Hampshire primary and a vice presidential nominee who flamed out ignominiously two months before the Iowa caucuses. They are a matched pair of bombed-out losers;

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals – the nation’s largest Appeals court – has long been a judicial joke. A Leftist clown show that routinely made up law – rather than adhering it. Hence its long-running nickname – The Ninth Circus Court of Appeals. Despite claims to the contrary by the Leftist “fact-checkers” – the Ninth is the most overturned federal court of appeals in the country. Because its judges so often ignore the law – and instead impose their own Leftist personal policy preferences. Well, President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have gone a long way towards rectifying this mess.

As could be easily predicted, last night’s Democrat version of the Beach Scene from Lord of the Flies, was shall I say, somewhat less than engaging. Even giving the leftists some handicap points due to the self inflicted constraints of a phone-it-in convention, it was still a mess, if a predictable mess. In somewhat of a shocker, the leftists did a video montage of the preamble to to the Constitution, followed by the National Anthem. I’m curious about two things….how long it took the leftists to find the words…and how many kneeled. Eva Longoria Bastion, actress,soap opera actress of Desperate Housewives fame served as convention moderator.

In this interview Lou Dobbs and Devin Nunes discuss the issues surrounding the presumed plea agreement between Kevin Clinesmith and the DOJ. It will be interesting to see how Judge Boasberg responds to any plea agreement. Boasberg is a FISA judge; and as an outcome it was he who was manipulated by the false information from Clinesmith. Boasberg was also the judge who handled the issues of the James Comey memos and the FBI position by David Archey to keep the memo’s and ‘Archey Declarations’ concealed.

According to reports in November of 2019, U.S Attorney John Durham and U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr were spending time on a narrowed focus looking carefully at CIA activity in the 2016 presidential election. One recent quote from a media-voice increasingly sympathetic to a political deep-state notes: “One British official with knowledge of Barr’s wish list presented to London commented that “it is like nothing we have come across before, they are basically asking, in quite robust terms, for help in doing a hatchet job on their own intelligence services””. (Link) (Snip) there appears to be evidence of an extensive CIA operation that likely involved U.K. intelligence services.

SACRAMENTO — Maybe you’ve noticed: Gov. Gavin Newsom no longer looks like a promising future presidential prospect. He has been leaped over and left behind by a California ally, Sen. Kamala Harris.
Since Newsom was elected governor in 2018, the expectation has been that he would seize the first opportunity after this year to run for president. Newsom, 52, wasn’t ready this year. But if President Trump won reelection, the Oval Office would be open in 2024. And if a Democrat ousted Trump, there’d be another opportunity in 2028.
