Blaze TV founder and conservative talk radio host Glenn Beck posted a stunningly honest apology to fans and to President Donald Trump for his opposition to a candidate he initially believed had no shot at the White House and was wrong for the country. “I am feeling so humbled this week. I feel truly horrible for the things I said and believed in 2016 about @realDonaldTrump. I believed the worst politically, which he proved me wrong at almost every turn. In the most dramatic cases (life/Israel/China/authoritarian),” Beck said to open a lengthy Twitter thread. “I expected @realDonaldTrump to take control federally at the first opportunity. Here we are in a massive crisis.

Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton talked about how she is working to “erode” white privilege out of her children during a conversation with Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) about voting rights in America. The conversation was part of a “Women for Biden” online event. “You know, congresswoman, certainly my children are young, but we believe they’re young but still citizens so we talked about the ratification of the 19th Amendment and women’s equality day but how fundamentally incomplete that victory was,” Clinton said. According to the former first daughter, the 19th Amendment was a “flawed victory” because “indigenous and black women didn’t have

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) said President Donald Trump would incite his base supporters not to accept the results of the presidential election if he losses in November.Booker said, “I think he understands to some degree that he has to take extraordinary steps to try to win this election. What are those extraordinary steps? One, he’s attacked the United States Postal service. He’s attacked the whole mail-in ballot process. He’s literally gone as far to say that, if I don’t win, the election was rigged, which means that he is now, even if he loses, telling us all that he will break with a tradition that

Former President Barack Obama has reportedly played a role in convincing LeBron James and other NBA players to resume the postseason after they boycotted it in protest of racial injustice. Obama spoke with James, National Basketball Players Association president Chris Paul, and other players in a conference call late on Wednesday night, after all NBA games were cancelled due to the boycott, the Athletic reported, citing sources. James had advocated for ending the NBA season entirely, and Obama reportedly told him and the other players that they could use the remaining games to advocate for the changes they want to see if they resumed playing.

Andrew Sullivan’s take on the danger posed to Dems by chaos in the streets is worth a read. I don’t agree with all of it but Sullivan seems to be making a genuine attempt to not be guided by talking points from either side of the aisle and it’s interesting to watch even if it’s not a completely successful effort. Frankly, some of what he says seems to at least partly contradict other things he’s saying but I guess that’s what happens sometimes when you’re reacting honestly and not just picking sides. Mostly what comes through is his disgust

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore offered a dire warning to Democrats after the conclusion of the Republican Convention, telling the “Resistance” that the level of voter excitement for President Trump far exceeds that for Democratic nominee Joe Biden. “Sorry to have to provide the reality check again, but when CNN polled registered voters in August in just the swing states, Biden and Trump were in a virtual tie. In Minnesota, it’s 47-47. In Michigan, where Biden had a big lead, Trump has closed the gap to 4 points,” Moore began a Facebook post on Friday. “Are you ready for a Trump victory? Are you mentally prepared to be outsmarted by Trump again?

A number of Democrat mayors from Minnesota endorsed President Donald Trump for a second term on Friday as Vice President Mike Pence campaigns in the state. “Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents’ jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and the mob, each in their own way, last week increased the risk that we will face a fairly grave constitutional moment. Mrs. Pelosi, in an unscripted moment, with her usual charm, identified the president and his allies in Congress (one can only assume she meant all the congressional Republicans) as domestic enemies of the United States. For her part, Mrs. Clinton publicly advised Democratic presidential candidate Jose[h R. Biden not to concede the election under any circumstances. The mob attacked a U.S. senator in the street. In ordinary times, these comments and actions

In the past months of demonstrations for Black lives, there has been a lot of hand-wringing about looting. Whether it was New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo saying that stealing purses and sneakers from high-end stores in Manhattan was “inexcusable,” or St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter saying looters were “destroy[ing] our community,” police officers, government officials and pundits alike have bemoaned the property damage and demanded an end to the riots. And just this week, rioters have burned buildings and looted stores in Kenosha, Wis., following the police shooting of Jacob Blake, to which Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson has said:
