Edmonton weather: September season is sweater season

A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Wednesday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 11.6 C with 11 km/h winds out of the west, southwest.

Ah yes, September. We’re back here again. That special time of year where I wilfully choose to ignore reality and delay turning on the furnace until my toes turn blue (this is why we own wool socks, people). I’m not touching the furnace so I guess it’s time to reach back into the closet and break out the warmest, greyest sweater I can find. Why grey? I don’t know but it feels right. The greyer the sweater the better, if you ask me.

The rain really helps to set the mood. This morning it comes with a risk of a minor thunderstorm though forecasters expect the clouds to eventually pull apart some time around noon as the winds pick up to 30-50 km/h. Yay wind. More wind. Always with the wind. Love the wind. So much wind. Forever with the wind. Wind, wind, wind.
