Edmonton weather: Do they make SPF 5000 sunscreen?

A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Monday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 14.8 C with 6 km/h winds out of the south, southwest.

It’s pretty hot out there, I guess. But is it really hot? Like hotter than other places, hot? You don’t even know what real hot is (insert aggressive eye roll here).

I mean, sure, a heat warning remains in effect for the city and surrounding area with forecasters calling for a high of 31 C today and 32 C tomorrow but that’s not really hot anyway, right? Ask anyone else — literally anyone — and they’ll say something to the effect of, ‘oh but at least it’s not ____’ or ‘yeah, but at least we don’t live in ___.’ Can we not just accept that it’s hot outside? Yes. This. Here. Edmonton, Alberta. Hot. Quite hot. Hotter for some, not as hot for others but still pretty hot. Can we agree on that? Of course not.

Today’s forecast

Today: Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud this morning. High 31 C. Humidex 34. UV index 7 or high.
