A 21-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder as city police continue to search for a second suspect in relation to the death of 15-year-old.

Edmonton Police Service officers responded to calls for help from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services at a commercial property near 136 Avenue and 97 Street Wednesday morning. When they arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy in medical distress in the parking lot of a nearby hotel. He was transported to hospital where he died from his injuries.

An autopsy conducted on the victim on Sept. 4 confirmed his death was a homicide and he died from sharp force injuries, said a news release issued Friday. Police have not released the victim’s name.

Bradley Michael Edward Almas, 21, has been charged with second degree murder.

Police have issued a warrant for second degree murder for the arrest of Bradley Clifford Leland, 23, also known as Bradley Durocher. He is believed to be in the Edmonton area and police are asking for the public’s help with locating him.

EPS said Durocher is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Police are also looking to speak to a man who may have been with the victim and received non-life threatening injuries before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information regarding Leland or the male is asked to call EPS at 780-423-4567. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
