Mounties have deemed the death of a woman found dead inside a Cold Lake First Nation home a homicide.
Police responded to a call about a woman being shot inside a home just after 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Police in a Friday news release said a man was detained in connection to the incident but he was later released without being charged.
An autopsy was completed on Thursday and deemed a homicide by the medical examiner.
The investigation is being led by the Alberta RCMP’s major crimes unit.
